How to get an image under 100 KB

  1. Add your image

JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF. Add up to 20 at once if you need several.

  2. 100 KB is already set

Need a different limit? Pick 200 KB, 500 KB or more, or type your own size in MB.

  3. Compress and check

Each result shows its real file size. Download one by one, or all together as a ZIP.

How it finds the best quality

For each image, the compressor tries quality settings and keeps the highest quality whose file still fits under the limit, up to the “Max quality” you set. Small images often fit without any reduction; large photos are reduced only as much as needed.

A PNG photo usually can't fit under 100 KB without losing many colours. With the format on Auto, the compressor saves it as JPG instead (or WebP if it has transparent areas) and tells you so.

If a very large photo still doesn't fit at the lowest setting, the result says so. Make it smaller first in the image resizer: around 1200 pixels wide usually fits easily.

Questions about 100 KB

Is 100 KB the same as 100,000 bytes?
Here 1 KB means 1,024 bytes, so 100 KB is 102,400 bytes, the way Windows and most websites count. If a form is stricter and counts 1 KB as 1,000 bytes, type 0.095 in the custom MB box to stay safely under both.
Will the picture still look good?
The compressor keeps the highest quality that fits, so you lose only what the limit demands. Very large or very detailed photos lose the most; resizing them first keeps more detail.
Does it change the width and height?
No. The compressor keeps the image's dimensions. To make it smaller in pixels too, use the image resizer, which also has a maximum file size.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your images aren't sent anywhere.
