How to convert WebP to JPG

  1. Add your WebP images

Drop in one image or up to 20 at once. PNG, GIF and JPEG files work too.

  2. JPG is already selected

Adjust the quality if you like. Transparent areas are filled with the background colour, white unless you choose another.

  3. Convert and download

Each file gets a .jpg name. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP.

Why are so many images saved as WebP?

Many websites send images as WebP because the files are smaller than JPG at a similar quality, so pages load faster. When you save an image from your browser, you often get that WebP file.

Some apps, photo editors, printing services and upload forms still don't accept WebP. JPG works almost everywhere, which is why converting is the quickest fix.

Questions about WebP to JPG

Will the picture lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so the image is compressed again when it's saved. At the default quality (85) the difference is very hard to see. Raise the quality slider for the closest match.
Why is the JPG bigger than the WebP?
WebP usually makes smaller files than JPG at a similar quality, so the converted file can be larger. The real size of every file is shown before you download. If size matters most, lower the quality or use the image compressor afterwards.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent parts are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). To keep transparency, convert to PNG instead.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser, on your device. Your images aren't sent anywhere.
