How to convert an image to JPG

  1. Add your images

PNG, WebP, GIF or JPEG, up to 20 at once. The tool reads each file's real format, even if its name says otherwise.

  2. JPG is already chosen

Adjust the quality if you like (85 by default). Transparent areas are filled with the background colour, white unless you pick another.

  3. Convert and download

Each file gets a .jpg name. Download them one by one or all together in a ZIP.

When to choose JPG

JPG is the format almost everything accepts: upload forms, online shops, email, printers and older apps. It keeps photos small by leaving out detail the eye barely notices.

It has no transparency, and screenshots with small text or flat colours stay sharper as PNG. For those, use the image converter and choose PNG.

Questions about converting to JPG

Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?

Not yet: HEIC files can't be opened here. On the iPhone, Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible makes the camera save new photos as JPEG.

Will the image lose quality?

JPG compresses with some loss, so the image is saved again. At the default quality (85) the difference is very hard to see; raise it for the most faithful result.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG can't store transparency, so they're filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). To keep transparency, convert to PNG or WebP with the image converter.

Why is my JPG bigger than the original?

WebP and well-compressed PNG files can be smaller than a JPG of similar quality. Each result shows its real size before you download; lower the quality or use the compressor if size matters most.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The conversion happens in your browser, on your device. See the privacy page.
