How to crop an image into a circle

  1. Add your photo

JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF. It opens with the Circle shape ready.

  2. Draw the circle

Drag on the photo, then move it or pull its handles: it always stays round. On a phone, tap Add crop and drag it.

  3. Download

Click Download all as ZIP. The circle is a PNG with transparent corners; choose JPG to fill the corners with a colour instead.

Circle crop questions

How do I make a round profile picture (pfp)?

Most apps make your profile picture round themselves, so upload a square with your face in the middle: choose Square, draw it and download. For places that show your picture as it is, download a Circle as PNG.

Will the corners be transparent?

Yes, as PNG or WebP. JPG has no transparency, so the corners get the colour under Transparent areas (white by default).

Can I make an oval?

No: the circle is always round. For a rectangle, choose Free.

Does it lose quality?

No. The circle is cut from the original pixels at full size. If your photo is small, make it bigger with AI first.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is opened and cropped in your browser, on your device. See the privacy page.
